Work to be carried out in 3 Phases. Phase 1A – started in 2004 and completed in 2007 at a cost of US$80M. Improvements will include a new multi-level Passenger Finger (Pier), Security Screening station; Outgoing Immigration; Retail Concessions and Departure Lounge; upgraded roadway system and expanded public car park and cargo warehouse.
  • Phase 1B: Scheduled for 2008-2012; Cost – approximately US$23M. Construction of a new Arrivals area; installation of a new baggage handling facility; relocation of general aviation centre, fire station and other support facility; Airside works including aircraft parking stands and extension of cargo and maintenance taxiway.
  • Phase 2: Final phase to commence in 2013 ending in 2022. Involves additional improvement and maintenance works to terminal, landside, airfield and support areas of facility. Approximate cost – US$9M.
